Ankeny, Iowa

ACH’s spice and seasoning brands — Spice Islands®, Durkee®, Weber® Seasonings, Tone’s®, French’s®, and Patak’s® — for the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico are manufactured here. With a $12 million expansion completed in 1996, this is the world’s largest state-of-the-art production and distribution facility for spice products.

The facility spans 768,000 square feet and encompasses 60+ acres. It accommodates 315 hourly employees, has an audited HACCP plan and prerequisite programs in place and is in the process of implementing SQF Level 2 to meet the requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The operation includes 360,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution space and 40 packing lines.

The Ankeny location is home to the multiple brands’ research and development functions. It’s not uncommon for test kitchens to operate 24-7 to develop exciting new products and applications.

Strategically located at the junction of Interstates 35 and 80, the facility is only a few miles north of Des Moines, Iowa’s State Capital. Des Moines is located on the banks of the Des Moines River and hosts the World Food Festival each year, where spices always play a starring role.  For directions, click here
